So, remember a couple weeks back when I thought it was completely normal to see colors when listening to music, and all you commenters tried to convince me that I had synesthesia?
Last week, Munger played different audio clips and asked his readers to say what colors they saw. This week, his results. His results, while not exactly conclusive, are fascinating to think about. He investigates the relationship between which colors we associate with certain emotions, and sees if there is a correlation between which colors we see when we listen to "happy" music; but he also sees a huge difference in colors not based on emotions but on instruments (in his study, piano or drum always evoke different color palettes, regardless of emotional content).
