At some point in college or shortly after I had one of those "I need to eat" moments and I sold a bunch of my CDs—including the three Superchunk albums I owned. So it's probably been at least ten years since I've listened to them. Hearing On the Mouth again after all these years has been... fun! It's been a lot of fun. Production is a littler thinner than I remember but the songs transcend. I am really glad I picked this up again.
- Superchunk, From the Curve
I find that mp3 player shuffle player is very kind to Superchunk. I've always liked them, but they're sameness can get weariness over an album, even excellent ones like No Pocky for Kitty and On the Mouth. But when one of their songs -- from any era -- comes on on shuffle, it's almost always welcome.
