this post should be retitled:

My Listening Hours: ...meh

Perhaps it should. Hey, sometimes you buy albums that don't thrill you. See the post below this one for "My Listening Hours... Yippee!"

If you like Stone Flower, then you have to try the first two albums of the Jobim Jazz trilogy: Wave then Tide.
For more Bossa Nova, try the classics: "Getz/Gilberto" (http://www.amazon.com/Getz-Gilberto-Stan/dp/B0000047CX/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1278855184&sr=8-1) or "The Best Of Two Worlds" (http://www.amazon.com/Best-Two-Worlds-Stan-Getz/dp/B00000255D/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1278855246&sr=8-1).

Thanks for your blog, it's great!

Cyr.

When you say "sounds like the soundtrack to a Jason Statham film" did you mean Crank: High Voltage? Mike Patton did the score to that one, I think.

If you like Bossa Nova then it is essential that you own Legendary by Joao Gilberto - the master. It's out of print but you can still find it. here's the amazon link http://www.amazon.com/Legendary-Joao-Gilberto/dp/B000008B03/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1279752246&sr=1-14

I don't know that one - will check it out.

Cyrille, thanks for your suggestions, too. I've got Getz/Gilberto but not the other - I'll look for it.
